Before you begin: WeChat Official Account registration requires Chinese business verification or an overseas entity with proper documentation.

  1. Go to https://mp.weixin.qq.com
  2. Click 立即注册 (Register Now)
  3. Select account type:
    1. 订阅号 (Subscription Account) - For content publishing
    2. 服务号 (Service Account) - For customer service (Recommended for chat)
  4. Follow the registration process:
    1. Enter email address and verification code
    2. Set password
    3. Select account type (Individual/Organization)
    4. Submit required documents
  5. Wait for approval (typically 1-7 business days)

  1. Go to https://mp.weixin.qq.com
  2. Log in to your account
  3. Go to 设置与开发 (Settings & Development) → 基本配置 (Basic Configuration)
  4. Find 服务器配置 (Server Configuration) section
  5. Your account is now ready for API integration
