Prerequisites

Before starting the integration, ensure you have the following:

Required:

• Facebook Business Account - You’ll need a Facebook account to manage WhatsApp Business
• Phone Number - A phone number for WhatsApp Business (must not be currently registered on WhatsApp)
• Business Information - Business name, category, address, and timezone

Recommended:

• Facebook Business Manager (Optional) - For better management of business assets
• Verified Business Profile - Helps build customer trust

Important Notes:

• Once a phone number is connected to WhatsApp Business API, it cannot be used on the regular WhatsApp app
• The phone number must be able to receive SMS or voice calls for verification
• You cannot use a phone number that’s already registered with WhatsApp (personal or business app)
